Joey Chery-Valentin Director's Statement:

I direct, write, and DP commercials, documentaries, and narrative films.

The work changes shape but my focus stays the same: depicting subjects completely in their element. Athletes mid-stride, subjects thriving, characters realizing their truths.

I'm drawn to real locations. Natural light pushed to its edge or bold, vibrant lighting design paired with color that makes everyday spaces feel electric.

Wrote and directed the pilot of SEEKING, a developing network sitcom that extends this visual language into long-form storytelling

My background in editing and color means I'm always thinking backwards from the cut. Every frame chosen for how it earns the one that follows.

Akene Farmer-Michos is credited on numerous scripted and non-scripted projects.

A member of IATSE working as a camera operator and cinematographer, his production credits range from scripted feature length movies and documentaries to episodic television and live events.
